Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Arguen you agree to these Terms and to the Rules of Engagement, which form part of them. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 13 years old.

2. The service

Arguen provides AI-judged, turn-based debates with ratings, streaks, and social features. Verdicts are produced by an automated AI judge. They are final for the purposes of match results and ratings, and we make no warranty that any individual verdict is objectively correct. The core arena is free to use, subject to fair-use limits. Optional paid upgrades — Arguen Pro, Oracle Charges, and cosmetic items — are covered in section 5.

3. Your account

You sign in either with Google or with a one-time code sent to your email address, then choose a username. You are responsible for activity on your account, and for keeping access to the inbox or Google account you sign in with. One person, one account — multi-accounting to manipulate ratings is prohibited.

4. Your content

You own the words you write. By posting to Arguen you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content as part of operating the service — including public debate pages, feeds, leaderboards, and shareable result cards. Content in debates you marked public is visible to anyone and may be indexed by search engines; private debates are visible only to the two debaters.

5. Payments, Pro, and refunds

Paid upgrades are optional; nothing in the core arena is locked behind them. Prices are shown in Indian rupees on the Pricing page and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed by Razorpay — we never receive or store your full card details.

• Arguen Pro is a recurring subscription. It renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
• Cancelling is self-service from your Account page. Cancellation stops future renewals; your Pro benefits continue until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Seven-day refund window. If you are unhappy with Arguen Pro, write to us at primegaudium@gmail.com within7 days of a subscription payment and we will refund that payment in full and end the subscription. This applies to the initial payment and to each renewal, provided you have not made substantial use of Pro-only capacity in that period.
• Oracle Charges and cosmetic items are one-time purchases delivered to your account immediately, and are therefore not covered by the seven-day window — they are not refundable once delivered. If a charge pack is unused and was bought by mistake, write to us anyway and we will look at it.
• If a payment is taken but the purchase is not delivered, report it through the in-app tools and we will deliver it or reverse the charge.
• If you are under 18, you may only make purchases with the consent of a parent or guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.

Paid features depend on third-party AI capacity. We may adjust the limits attached to a tier where necessary to keep the service running, and will not materially reduce what an active subscription already paid for.

6. Acceptable use

• No harassment, hate speech, threats, doxxing, or illegal content.
• No attempts to manipulate the judge (prompt injection), the matchmaking, or the rating system.
• No scraping, reverse engineering of internal endpoints, or abuse of rate limits.
• No impersonation of other people or of Arguen itself.

7. Moderation and enforcement

We may remove content, void scores, roll back ratings, restrict features, or suspend and terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the Rules — with severity proportionate to the violation. Automated moderation runs on every public surface; reports are reviewed on top of it.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Account page (see the Privacy Policy for what deletion does). We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including accuracy of AI verdicts, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Arguen and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, ratings, streaks, or reputation arising from your use of the service.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms; the date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be announced in-app, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of Arguen.
