What is Arguen?

A ranked debate arena. You and an opponent argue opposing sides of a motion in timed rounds; an AI judge scores every argument and names every logical fallacy it finds. Ranked matches move your Elo rating.

How does scoring work?

Each argument earns up to 80 points across Clarity, Evidence, Logic, and Rebuttal, minus 15 per detected fallacy. The side with the higher total after the final round wins. The full rubric lives on the Rules page.

Is the judge fair? Can I appeal?

The judge follows a fixed rubric, is isolated from instructions inside arguments, and its arithmetic is re-verified on the server. It is still an AI — occasionally it will read something differently than you would. Verdicts are final; if one seems clearly defective, use the report tools so the rubric can improve.

What’s the difference between Ranked and Casual?

Ranked debates move your Elo rating (K=32 while you’re new, K=16 as a veteran). Casual debates are scored identically but carry no rating stakes.

What happens if I run out of time?

Standard turns last 10 minutes (Blitz: 90 seconds). If you abandon your turn, the arena keeper eventually forfeits it — in ranked play that counts as a loss.

Are my debates public?

You choose at creation. Public debates appear in the archive, can be watched by anyone, and completed ones are search-indexable. Private debates are visible only to the two debaters and never enter the feed, the sitemap, or share cards.

What are streaks, XP, and medals?

Any scored action (an argument, a roast, a war entry, the daily fallacy trial) keeps your daily streak alive and earns XP. Elo can fall — XP only grows. Medals are earned from weekly Fandom Wars and by defeating the Oracle’s difficulty tiers.

What is the Weekly Fandom War?

One global motion per week. Anyone can post one scored argument per day for their chosen side; a live power meter tracks the totals, and everyone on the winning side earns a medal.

Can I play against the AI?

Yes — vs-Oracle debates (including one-tap Lightning) pit you against the Oracle at the Apprentice, Adept, or Full Oracle tier. Beat each tier for a trophy.

How do I sign in?

Two ways, both passwordless: one click with Google, or a one-time code sent to your email address. Paste the code on the sign-in page and you’re in — there is no password to create, forget, or leak.

Is Arguen free?

The arena is free. Debating, ranked play, Elo, verdicts, fallacy calls, streaks, wars, and leaderboards cost nothing, and generous daily AI-usage limits apply so the arena stays available for everyone. Optional paid extras exist — Arguen Pro, Oracle Charges for AI-heavy actions, and cosmetic skins — and they are listed on the Pricing page. Nothing about how you are judged or ranked is for sale.

How do I cancel Pro?

From your Account page, at any time. Your Pro benefits continue until the end of the period you have already paid for, and the subscription simply does not renew. If you want your money back rather than just an end to renewals, email primegaudium@gmail.com within 7 days of the payment and we will refund it in full. Cosmetics and Oracle Charges are delivered instantly, so they fall outside that window. See the Terms for the full billing policy.

How do I delete my account?

From your Account page. Deletion erases your personal data and your own arguments; debates you took part in are kept for your opponents with your seat anonymized. See the Privacy Policy for details.

How do I report abuse?

Every argument and profile carries a report action, and you can block users from their profile. Reports are reviewed against the Rules.
